Israel Wins Gold for Artistic Swimming in Athens

It was the first time Israel topped its Greek rivals in the sport, scoring 84.77 points, its highest grade ever.

ARTISTIC GOLD: Israel won the gold medal for artistic swimming – the free combination event – at the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series held in Alexandroupolis, Greece, on Sunday. It was the first time Israel topped its Greek rivals in the sport, previously called synchronized swimming. Israel scored 84.77 points, its highest grade ever, while Greece came in second with 82.97 points. The event is not an Olympic event.
